Opinion: If you like Ghost Whisperer the TV series you’ll like this new comic written by Becca Smith and Carrie Smith. Even if you’ve just seen a few shows you’ll know how the story flows from the first ghost sighting to the mystery of the ghost’s problems and the resolution of these concerns. The comic follows this same flow. It’s an easy story to read and follow and it keeps your interest.

Read the rest of my review after the jump.

My biggest complaint is that there is not much mystery due to the fact that the comic is limited in space, and the TV show has a whole hour to drag out the mystery. However, I must give Kudos to Becca and Carrie Smith for developing an ongoing villain/protagonist in this first comic. The small story that is resolved in the first comic is only the beginning of a much bigger problem that the Ghost Whisperer will have to face in later issues. This will undoubtedly bring the preliminary readers back for the second issue. I know I’ll be in line!

On another note those who watch Ghost Whisperer purely for Jennifer Love Hewitt’s sex appeal will not find this comic lacking in artistic detail. Though the heroine does not look much like the actress there are plenty of buxom beauties portrayed to appease that type of appetite.

Finally, the size of the comic is impressive! It’s easy for comics-based-on-shows to be laden with adverts and not much content but this book was thick and a pleasure to read! Well worth the money.
