Opinion: The second issue of Ghost Whisperer has arrived! Ok, don’t go all ga ga yet, it’s not that exciting. The art is a bit more graphic, showing the look of death on Melinda Gordon’s ghosts in more detail than before. However the story hasn’t changed, more teenage drama/revenge now with different high school girls. Read my full review after the jump.

Another girl dies trying to get revenge on the school bully, come on! there’s got to be another story line! The re-occurring bad guy is back, the comic alluded to the fact that he may be targeting people who died and are focused on revenge, ok fine, no problem but there are other characters to portray then just teenage girls with high school problems!

Once again there isn’t enough room for a full hour of story like in the TV show. It tends to make the ending seem anti-climatic. The TV shows spends a lot of time solving a mystery and getting around the objections of the living to Melinda’s ability to speak with the dead. None of these are found in the comic. It would be one thing if the mystery of the re-occurring bad guy was being investigated, however this issue spent one page on him and it nothing more than a history lesson in Egyptian mythology!

I would say that the comic is still a good read and interesting enough. Especially if you like the TV show. It’s guaranteed to keep you entertained, though for only about 10 minutes, not even close to the hour of television that Ghost Whisperer, the show can give you, however I find myself waiting impatiently for the next issue next month!
