Are you guys ready for this? It’s a bit of a stretch but it’s the only piece of information that might be relevant to the setup and plot of 2009’s G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. This post is merely speculative, and it doesn’t help that the source information has been changed, but we couldn’t rightly call ourselves nerds if we didn’t see at least some significance in this.
Ok, so as of yesterday, the WHOIS information for http://www.risoefcobra.com had some potentially spoilery information hidden within it. The information has since been changed, and I can only assume it is because some sites have picked up on it and actually published the email address listed in the WHOIS, which most likely was the reason this information was pulled down.

Some lucky soul got a chance to see The Dark Knight, and sent in this review to AICN.
The review is spoiler-free, but does give away some of the plot and reveals a bit about the film’s framework.
I personally didn’t read the whole thing as I want to keep the movie as fresh as possible for myself - but if you want to brave it, click through the jump!
A brand new movie poster, the first one we know about; was photographed recently at the Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam for the G.I. Joe movie coming out in 2009.
We initially thought here at ComicNerd the official movie title was G.I. Joe: Dark Sky, but this poster reveals the official title is now: G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. You know what this implies, right? A franchise!
I am so amped for this movie!

Happy Monday folks, and welcome to the third installment of our weekly feature, Monday Movie Mayhem! Where we cover movie and TV nerd-related news for all the ComicNerd.com readers out there!
Since it’s memorial day and I’d rather be playing WoW or GTA:IV, I’m going to only be covering a few things today. I know, call me lazy. :p
I went and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull yesterday, and had a lot of fun. It felt like good ‘ole Indy action and adventure all the way up until the end, where the movie just asked me to suspend belief just a tad too much. Overall a fun movie… but you could tell it was grasping a little bit.
Today we have some news about Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, including a concept design and some plot information. Matthew Vaughn laid down some news about Thor coming out in theaters from Marvel, and it’s not all good news. We have an update about the upcoming Ant-Man movie. Microsoft announced plans for their Xbox 360 and Blu-Ray. We have a new trailer for an interesting movie called Eagle Eye, about a mysterious organization who frames an average working American as a terrorist. Brian K. Vaughn’s hit comic Runaways is looking to be adapted to film (but you probably already knew that), and a couple of leaked Cloverfield 2 pics are included as well.

A sharp-eyed Joe fan snapped some on-set pics of Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Ray Park filming scenes in Prague, Czech Republic for the upcoming G.I. Joe: Dark Sky movie set to be released in August 7th, 2009.
I want to warn you, though - there’s even more butt armor!
All 20 pictures are after the jump, because sometimes pics like these ruin the movie magic.

Well, here we go again. This time we have ‘official’ leaked pictures, it appears Paramount has chosen specific sites that they have deemed worthy and sent each of them an individual picture.
If you recall, ComicNerd was one of the first sites to break the real leaked G.I. Joe pics, all 33 of them , watermark free. I was asked by Paramount to take them down and I complied, but the fact that they did not send me one of these shiny pics for my site kinda miffs me. So, in response I am reposting all 33 original pics and putting them after the jump.
Here are today’s G.I. Joe pics; from left to right: Baroness, Ripcord, Storm Shadow, Breaker, General Hawk, Destro, Duke and Heavy Duty.
