Synopsis: Get ready for an action-packed 2-part tale teaming up the Dark Knight with the interstellar madman, as only Sam Kieth can deliver! Batman, transported to an alien vessel by a mysterious figure, is asked to help cure a plague that has infected its inhabitants. Lobo, who has also been shanghaied, finds himself in the same boat. Now, Batman and Lobo, two incredibly unlikely companions, must somehow find a way to work together — and find out the real reason for their abductions — before they kill each other!

Opinion: The Dark Knight… The Main Man?!? Together? This is a recipe for win. Having forgotten that this was even coming out, I was elated to find it waiting for me this week. Everything about this title felt alive and vibrant as I turned each page. The pairing of this non-dynamic duo helps contrast each character harshly against the other while never really allowing either character to overshadow. Kieth performed quite excellently in this trippy, Heavy Metal-esque interstellar backdrop, allowing for an entertaining story to be accompanied by a fluid, organic art style. And not only do you get the Dark Knight and the Main Man in one solid story, it’s packed with an ensemble of heavily attractive female bi-peds carrying enough firepower to make the U.S. Military blush. If you’re a Marvel reader who’s been DC-curious for a while now, or a DC reader who just wants a good time, this book is definitely worth the time and money spent on it.
