Wolverine Dangerous Games
Storyline: Dangerous Games
Date: June 4th, 2008
Price: $3.99 US
Writers: Simon Spurrier and Rick Remender

Artists: Ben Oliver and Jerome Opena

Synopsis: With bloodsports banned in the UK, a group of overfed Brit Aristos have relocated to the Louisiana forests. Their aim? To pit themselves (aided only by a vast pack of slavering hounds and their own copious wealth) against a truly worthy foe: a single, terrified fox. Sadly for them, there’s more than one furry little critter in the woods tonight…

Opinion: In the new Wolverine comic you actually get two stories.  They both have their good and bad points, though overall they are both enjoyable even if you’re not really a Wolverine fan. I’ll give you some reasons why it’s a good buy and after the break give you some fair warning as to why you shouldn’t spend the money.

Check out my full review after the jump.

First the good stuff…the art in both both parts is unique but good in its own way. I do like the art in the first book a little more because the colors flow together more than in the second section where you have more traditional comic style art. Additionally both stories do a great job on Wolverine’s character, portraying him as a ruthless killer who loves the hunt and won’t tolerate betrayal.  At the same time they show the man inside the animal who wants to learn control of his actions.

A look at why it might not be worth it…
