Opinion: The new comic “Gemini” is worth the money! It’s action packed with character and story development that will keep you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover. It’s not your typical superhero comic and yet it is - that is what will have you coming back for more. I don’t want to spoil the comic, because it’s worth your time to read it but I have to say out of all the comics I’ve ever read this has a really unique twist on the typical superhero story.

I’m not a big fan of the art itself personally but that’s just my opinion and even then it does nothing to detract from the story.  It was one of the longest comic’s I’ve read in a long time and if you’ve read any of my other reviews that’s one of my biggest pet peeves; I hate paying for a comic and then only have 12 pages or so of actual story.  This one has at least 25 (I didn’t count).   I cannot wait for the next issue to come out the ending was quite a shock!

I can’t contain my excitement about this comic and I want to tell you more reasons why I like it but in order to do that I might spoil it for you - so click through to read more if you don’t mind being spoiled!

As you read through the first issue a very curious mystery unravels about not just a double life of a superhero but an unknown double life. He is controlled by a “think tank” of nerds (I use that word with the greatest of love) It seems his “normal” life has no knowledge of his “superhero” life and vise versa!  The other superheros portrayed in the comic, though, do have knowledge of their tamer alter egos. You and I will just have to wait for the next issue to figure out how and why this is the case. I LOVE a good mystery!

The new “controller” who is in charge of changing him back into a “normal” human makes a huge mistake at the end, using Gemini as a weapon in a situation that was not authorized, it ends up very bloody, and we end on a note suggesting a brand new Gemini is coming, or not at all!  I guess we’ll just have to stay tuned for more.
