They are happy to be back at Marvel and we’re thrilled to have them!

Opinion: I am a HUGE fan of the Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale combo. These guys have produced some classics, folks. So for me—someone who hasn’t had much exposure to Captain America—this prologue to an upcoming six-issue mini-series called Captain America: White is a great and alluring way to get into the mythos.

And as expected, this comic delivers. Read more after the jump!

If you’re an old Cap fan, I have a feeling you’re going to like this comic—a fresh retelling of Bucky’s origin. This issue has a lot of great stuff, too, for you fanboys/girls. There’s some cool sketches mixed in with an interesting interview with Loeb and Sale. Not only is the interview fun and also helpful to new readers, but the issue itself is easy to get into—for new and old readers alike.

The art is simply fantastic, and the colors (by Dave Stewart) give it that old war-time feel while still maintaining a modern comic book art appeal. The writing/dialogue is fun and light-hearted, too. All in all, I highly recommend this one. I can’t wait to see what issue #1 has in store! Cap, you just got yourself a new fan. ;D
