I don’t know about you, but I fully intend on snatching up all of the covers for this 500th issue. I don’t ever do that, but for Uncanny X-Men, I make a lot of exceptions.
In fact, I am kind of bummed that there are no holographic, chrome or glow-in-the-dark covers for such a huge landmark.
But, we get some excellent art. Click through the jump to see a gallery of all of the covers available from Terry Dodson, Alex Ross, Greg Land and the late Michael Turner PLUS a 4 page preview!

1Those covers are awesome! They’re all incredible.
And I’m not a big Alex Ross fan but that’s amazing. My personal favorite, though, is the Michael Turner one.

3Yeah, he is indeed. But it’s just not … my kind of thing I guess. I prefer more traditional comic book art I suppose. ;;shrug;; To each his own. =)

9AWESOME COVERS!
This was a most righteous post. To not love these covers is a crime! Lol.
Gotta rank them:
4. Land’s. Every character looks like a cut-out. Too many spoilers on it too. (Cannonball’s apart of Hellfire Club…lol, guess not.) Biggest :-(, whether true or not, is Cyke’s imitation of the Rocketeer. BTW, who’s that supposed to be next to Wolvie’s hand in the center?
3. Ross’. Love the “golden age” look. Had to drop to 3rd for multiple Jean Greys. Also, the Xavier in the sky tribute like he’s still leader or dead I’m not digging either. But vintage Storm and Colossus are too cool.
2. Dodson’s. Can’t help but to love the X-Ladies with Jean in the background, the X-Lady standard. But just as sure as I am that this would be a solid, classic kick-ass “team”, this “team” would NEVER be. Less so than with Land’s, is Psylocke finally back in the mainstream X-Man soon? (BTW, Doesn’t Storm look like Serena Williams? Lmao) And by personal default, I would think that this “team” is Storm’s, Emma is portrayed like a X-Man leader (and not a half-naked villian for once).
1. Turner’s. This is an X-Title cover. Not a rendition. Classic silver age, through and through at the height of the X-Men’s glory. How can you not like a black man with a power mullet on the cover (Bishop) next to the guy who originated the mutant mullet (Longshot)! Lmao. My only knock isn’t this artist fault: I hate the Cassidy’s Banshee uniform…ugh! Talk about eye sore. Lol.
