So much breaking news last week!!! Here are some of the highlights: We got all 33 hi-res leaked pics of the cast of 2009’s live-action G.I. Joe Movie, the new limited series X-Men: Divided We Stand was reviewed, Edward Norton released a statement about the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie and ComicNerd.com began a 4 part special detailing the coming comic events and movie events on the horizon.

This upcoming Wednesday, things start heating up in the DCU with Countdown To Final Crisis #1, We get issue 2 of a fun little series called Everybodys Dead, more mystery surrounds this new, red guy in Hulk #3, everyone’s favorite Norse God Thor continues with issue #8, the revamped, totally kick-ass X-Force #3 comes out swinging and Uncanny X-Men inches closer to the big 500!

A little update from the New York ComicCon, courtesy of io9, here is a bullet-point of interesting articles and facts they have gleamed from attending the convention ComicNerd.com couldn’t make it to:

• According to a panel at NYCC, Avengers Initiative #7 is a huge puzzle piece related to Secret Invasion, and is not to be missed.
• Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada said the only thing that changed as a result of One More Day was Peter and Mary Jane’s wedding day. Everything else stayed the same.
• Thor WILL be part of Secret Invasion, and his tie-in will be written by Matt Fraction.
• Catwoman has been canceled.
• Batman R.I.P. Asked what that title means, Grant Morrison says: “It means Rest In Peace. But it doesn’t. There’ll be no peace for Batman.” The Joker will be the scariest new Joker we’ve ever, drawn as 1/2 “a road accident”), plus a bunch of new Batman villains: “If you miss this you miss your chance to say goodbye.”
• Robert Downey Jr. cameos in The Incredible Hulk as Tony Stark, meeting Gen. Ross in a bar and they have a conversation in the flick.
