Hello and welcome to our weekly wrap-up!  “But it’s Tuesday!” you say?  Yes, but everyone knows that the week doesn’t officially start until tomorrow: New Comics Day!

This week we’re a bit sparse on reviews, but heavy on news!   There has been so much that has come out and a busy time in meatspace right now - so I am trying hard to play catchup.  Please bear with me and if you’re interested, I am happy to have guest columns or anything else you might find exciting to contribute to ComicNerd.com!

Over the next week you should see several unfinished reviews pop up - these are soon-to-be-completed reviews and in the meantime, if you’ve read them feel free to comment!

Instead of boring you with all of the things going on in my mortal life and this site - let’s talk superheroes, movies, games, news and whatever nerd stuff that comes up that really brings you here!

I never did get a chance to see Speed Racer, and my higher priority right now is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which we are all very excited about seeing this weekend.  It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun - and for someone in my age range who doesn’t remember seeing any of the Indy flicks on the big screen, this is kind of a big deal!  I just hope it’s not E. 1-3 Star Wars level crapola.

Last week we got a treat in the form of Golden Oldies Superheroes which was a lot of fun.   I wrote a list of all the comics coming up for review and explained why the reviews had slowed down a bit.   We got our hands on the Official Batman R.I.P. checklist.  Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed in Batman #676, and my review is less than happy.   We got some sneaky set pics from G.I. Joe: Dark Sky , which was seen filming in Prague.  Finally, we had our new weekly column; Monday Movie Mayhem!, a jumbo post about a ton of movie and TV news, this week’s topics were: Robocop, The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, Incredible Hulk, Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, Punisher: War Zone, and The Mummy 3!

Tomorrow’s comics that caught my eye!

This upcoming Wednesday, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull #1 comes out from Dark Horse,  DC has a Final Crisis prelude with Justice League Of America #21and then another addition to the super fun World of Warcraft comic with #7.  Image Comics is going to town this week with celebratory comics, including Invincible Universe Primer (reprints #1 of Brit, Astounding Wolf-Man and Invincible), Joseph Micheal Linsner’s new comic Dark Ivory continues with #2 and finally The Walking Dead Special Edition, which features the full script, original series proposal and a pile of other bonus features to celebrate TWD’s upcoming 50th issue!

Finally at Marvel, Secret Invasion tie-ins creep back in and we get Captain Marvel Ms Marvel Secret Invasion The Infiltration as a Secret invasion tie-in as well as Mighty Avengers #14.   Wolverine and Deadpool keep on keepin on in their funny adventure in Wolverine Origins #25.  The Ultimate universe  brings us Ultimate X-Men #94, where a writer from the show Heroes writes for X-men!  Finally X-Men Divided We Stand continues with issue #2 of 3.
