Hello and welcome to our weekly wrap-up! “But it’s Tuesday!” you say? Yes, but everyone knows that the week doesn’t officially start until tomorrow: New Comics Day!

There have been a lot of exciting changes going on at ComicNerd.com! First thing I want to point out is faster image loading times - now, when you click on a comic cover or any other image to get a better look, a lightbox opens up for easy and quick viewing. The close button is on the bottom right hand corner if it fills your screen up. We like to keep the images big and shiny around here :}

Second exciting thing this week was the debut of my very first Widget for Wordpress! If you own a Wordpress blog that talks about pop culture, comic books, comic movies or anything at all related to comic book stores then this plug-in is for you! HOLY CANOLI BATMAN!!!!! Is that who I think it is? Yes brave reader it is I Greg “redhollywood” Padilla. Many of you may not know who I am but you soon will. I hail from the deep south, more specifically, Mobile, Alabama, where blues, whiskey, and relaxing are a way of life.

I am a 26 year old nerd who loves him some comics. I am addicted and rehab is not in my near future.

I have a superboy named Aiden who is 9 months old and soon will start his flying lessons. Emily Padilla is my very own Marvel Girl whom I have been married to for one year. They are supportive of my habit and inspire me to write my own comics.

I have formed a dynamic duo with my brother-in-law and have started our own comic writing team under the moniker of Ruin Comics. Tomorrow’s comics that caught my eye!

On Wednesday, there’s very little I saw that I know for sure I’ll be picking up other than Chuck #1 from DC, based on the television series and maybe Titans #3, but frankly I’ve lost interest in that series already.

From Image the long-delayed, highly-anticipated Invincible #50 hits shelves, and people are super excited about that one. 48 pages, it is double-sized and it’s got a $4.99 pricetag - so if you’re like me and stuck on the TPB’s, you might be counting your lucky stars right now.

On the Marvel front, their new book Eternals #1 hits the shelves, and I’m already tired of that book before it even got here considering they had previews of the issue at the end of almost every comic last month. I’ll still be grabbing it, though haha. Another debut issue, Skaar Son of Hulk #1 comes out, I’m not too sure about this one, but I’ll give it a try. X-Force has a one-shot special called X-Force: Ain’t No Dog I’ll probably grab and then Sky Doll #2 hits the shelves, which I am super excited about, as the first issue was awesome.

Other than that, it looks like it’ll be a week where I just peruse what’s out and grab what looks good, which is just as fun!
