This is the first part of a roundup of all of the cool stuff coming out this year to particpate in, acquire and experience! There will be 4 parts, one for comics, one for movies, one for action figures and one for video games.

Now you have absolutely NO reason to go outside and expose yourself to that big angry yellow ball in the sky. Hooray!

July solicitations went out recently for Marvel, Darkhorse and DC comics. I tried tracking down some solicitations for Image and DDP with no luck - but there’s plenty to cover anyway - maybe someone over at DDP can send me over your July solicitations?

There are obviously too many coming out this year to list, so here are the highlights of story lines and events that are upcoming.

DC Event: Final Crisis

Countdown to Final Crisis, Death of the New Gods, and DC Universe #0 have all been leading up to DC Comics’ Summer event: Final Crisis! We get to see a plethora of top level villains dishing out punishment on the DCU. The Fifth World of Gods are dawning, and the New Gods have been eliminated. As the sole survivor of the mythical “Fourth World”, Darkseid seeks to bring about a new order of evil towards the universe.

The rise of Darkseid runs parallel to the return of the leader of the Injustice Gang, Libra as he organizes a new army of super-villains for a mysterious purpose.

Finally, Superman-Prime has a renewed vendetta against Superman and has gathered his own army in the form of a new incarnation of the Legion of Super-Villains. The Superman of the 31st century goes back to the 30th Century in order to combine forces with three incarnations of the Legion of Super-Heroes in order to stop him!
